Summary: Article is devoted to the solution of an actual problem of regeneration ion-exchange pitches which is used in industrial and household filters for elimination of iron in water and it softening. In particular, in article the analysis of schemes of known equipment of different types which can be used for hashing ion-exchange pitches is resulted: predefecation tanks, homogenizers, bubblers and amalgamators. It is established, that the given equipment is not effective enough for regeneration of ion-exchange pitch by its hashing in a salt solution as it provides superfluous capacity (in 1,5 - 48 times) and speed of hashing (in 90 - 400 times). Also this equipment has a difficult or not technological design in manufacturing, besides, it often does not realize uniform hashing all the portion long pitches and its constant circulation in the working chamber in a course of all process of restoration. The last thing is very important for realization of qualitative restoration of all volume of ion-exchange pitch. Requirements to the special equipment for regeneration ion-exchange pitches, concerning working parameters of process and physico-mechanical characteristics of a processed material are formulated. On this basis some schemes of screw, centrifugal, drum-type mixers, and also a mixer with unbalanced vibration exciter are developed. It is proved, that utilization of the given schemes under creation of the industrial equipment for mechanical regeneration will provide rational use of capacity of the drive, the set mode and the scheme of loading of a processed material, and consequently quality of its regeneration. Dependences for definition of the basic working parameters of the offered equipment - demanded capacity of a drive, productivity of hashing, weight of a portion of a processed material are resulted. These dependences can be used for performance of calculations for the purpose of a choice of the most effective variant of installation for regeneration ion-exchange pitches, taking into account requirements of the customer and conditions of concrete manufacture where installation will be used. Also the received dependences can form a basis for creation of a technique of design calculation of the offered equipment.
