Summary: The Great French Revolution is one of the most important milestones on the path to the modern concept of human rights. As a result of the revolution in France, the "old order" was abolished - absolutism, the remnants of feudal relations in agriculture and the division of society were destroyed. The French Revolution proclaimed the inalienable rights of man and citizen, and began the formation of the rule of law and civil society.
