Summary: The classifications of lexical-syntactic repetition available in linguistics are analyzed, they are generalized. The criteria by which repetition is usually classified are clarified, in particular: functions in language, linearity, semantics, frequency of use in the text, explicitness, specificity of language expression, accuracy of language units reproduction, corresponding language levels, structural-semantic criterion.
